Online registration will remain open until Tuesday, Demember 30 at 8:00 pm. 

Important: Anyone who registers online after 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 27, will have to pick up their bibs on Monday or race day morning. Bibs will not be ready during packet pick up on Sunday. 

Anyone who registers between Sunday, December 27 at 8:00 pm and Tuesday, December 30 at 8:00 pm will have to wait until Wednesday morning (race day) to pick up their bibs.

 

Ring in the New Year in style! Join your friends and neighbors at the Ringing In Hope: A New Year's Eve Celebration (Dec. 31st, 2014) at Brambleton Town Center Plaza in Brambleton (Ashburn), VA and make this New Year's Eve celebration a truly memorable one. Whether you decide to run, jog, or walk, you'll be doing more than just making a healthy start to the New Year. Your participation will ring in hope for local charities and the people they serve in your community! 5K Timed Event

10K Timed Event

***We ask that you please help registration to run smoothly by not switching events.  If you must do so, any changes should be done in advance of the race by December 21st.

 

1K Fun Run/Walk

$14 per person 3 and older (under 3 is free)

*Walkers under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. If parent/guardian is registered for 10K or 5K race, parent/guardian is free for 1K event. 1K admission includes a bell to proudly Ring in Hope for the New Year.  Each 1K participant will also receive a bib for registration purposes, although the event is untimed

Timing and Scoring will be provided byCommonwealth Race Management, a division of Potomac River Running.  The race will be telectronically timed using the Chrono Track B disposable tag system. 

 

Awards

In both the 10K and 5K valuable merchandise or gift certificates will be given to the top 3 overall men and top 3 women as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. There will also be drawings during the post-race ceremony - you must be present to win prizes.

 

5K & 10K Co-ed Team Competition

Get your running buddies, family, friends and co-workers together and have fun challenging other teams. A trophy will be awarded to the fastest team (top 4 finishers) as well as the team with the most participants (in both the 5k and 10k event). All teams are coed, with a minimum of 5 people. A minimum of 2 persons of each gender are required to form a team. No exceptions. A single team may have as many members as desired. The top 4 on each team will score. Scoring is Cross-County Style; lowest aggregate time of the top 4 team members wins. 

T-shirts 

T-SHIRT DEADLINE: December 10, 2014. To be guaranteed an Official Ringing in Hope technical t-shirt, please be sure to register by December 10. After that date, shirts will be available on race day following the race on a first come, first served basis, if still available. The event offers a uniquely designed commemorative long-sleeve performance t-shirt to registrants in the 5k and 10k. Sizes available are Unisex; Youth Medium and Large, Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large and XXX-Large. Runners will receive the t-shirt size they have ordered as indicated on their bib in order to help ensure participants receive what they requested.

Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration

All race day registration will take place outdoors in order to accommodate the growing number of participants.

Race (and walk) registration can take place in one of three ways:

1.)    Registering here online (preferred)

2.)    At one of the two pre-race packet pickups (listed above)

3.)    On race day at the race site:

Picking Up Bibs and Packets for Your Friends and Family

We do allow runners to pick up bibs and t-shirts for their friends. Please note that t-shirts cannot be mailed. You will not need to show us your ID or copies of their ID to pick up bibs for anyone other than yourself.

Parking

There is plenty of parking at Brambleton Town Center in the parking garages and along the main plaza.

Restrooms:

Restrooms will be available at Sport and Health (along with shower/locker use) and at the provided porta-potties.  

Strollers & Pets

Strollers and baby joggers are welcome, but must start at the back of the pack as a safety precaution for the other participants. For the safety of our participants, we do not permit pets to participate in the events. Thank you for your understanding.

If you are interested in volunteering for this fun event, please send an email with "Ringing In Hope Volunteer" in the subject line to: info@ringinginhope.com.  Service hours are also available to volunteers. All volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
