Join us on Saturday October 18, 2014 for the Second Annual Race for D.C. Kids 5k supporting the Youth Leadership Foundation, sponsored by DRT Strategies.

The race will be held at Bluemont Park, 601 N. Manchester St., Arlington, VA 22203. The race will start at 9:15 am.

Registration will only be available online: $30 for the 5k (race day registration will be $40 if spots are still available and will be payable by cash or check only)

Packet pick up will be held on Friday October 17 at Potomac River Running Store in Arlington, 4501 N. Fairfax Dr., Arlington, VA 22203 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday October 18 at Bluemont Park starting at 8:00 am.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.

Commemorative uni-sex Cotton T-shirts will be available in limited quantities.

Top 3 reasons to run our race:

3) It is a great course for first-timers (or a PR). The run is an out and back course along a beautiful, almost flat stretch of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. This is the perfect event for all ages and fitness levels.

2) SWAG (and some cool prizes). Everyone who registers will get a commemorative T-shirt. 

1) You'll change a kid's life. All funds from the run will go to the Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1997, YLF provides mentoring, tutoring and character formation for at-risk youth in the D.C. area. In D.C., less than 60 percent of high school students graduate on-time.
