Registration:

5k: $25 up through October 15, $30 until online registration closes on October 23, $35 during packet pick up and on race day

Kids Dash: Free, registration on race day. 

Description:

The Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE) will present its inaugural 5K GRACE Race Oct. 25, 2014.  The established 5K course begins at the Pavilion in Reston Town Center, continues on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail, and finishes back at the Pavilion.  The 8:30 a.m. 5K race is an official, timed event, and art-inspired costumes are encouraged! The 5K will be followed by a Kids’ Dash in Reston Town Center at 9:30 a.m.  (costumes also encouraged!).   In addition to light, post-race refreshments, there will be FREE family art activities sponsored by GRACE at the Pavilion. The GRACE Race is powered by our title sponsor, CRUNCH Fitness, along with our logistical partner, Potomac River Running, 

People can make it a full day of culture and fun with Reston Town Center’s annual Trick-or-Treating event, beginning at 11 a.m., and then take in the Washington West Film Festival’s evening showings at Town Center’s Bowtie Cinema (www.wwfilmfest.com).

Prizes:

• Top male and female finishers: 6 months free trial CRUNCH membership; Reston Town Center

gift card; free GRACE membership card

• Top male and female finishers in each of six age groups; 3 months free trial

CRUNCH membership and Reston Town Center gift card

• Prizes for top three costumes and treats for all Dash finishers.

Race Packets:

• First 500 registrants receive a CRUNCH cinch pack with a two-week free trial membership!

• All runners receive a T-shirt; a race-day coupon for 20% off all day at Il Fornaio, Mon Ami Gabi, Big Bowl, and Tavern 64;

$5 off a GRACE Membership card (which gives you the above restaurant deal, plus Clyde’s, all year long); an Athleta

hair tie and special race-day in-store promotion; and 20% off tickets to daytime screenings of the Washington West

Film Festival in Town Center that weekend.

• Join us for a fun race warm-up led by Athleta at 8:00 a.m.! Runners who

visit the Athleta store after the race may enter a raffle for a $250 gift card!

Packet pick up information:

Race packets can be picked up at the Greater Reston Arts Center gallery (12002 Market Street - corner of Market and St. Francis Streets - Reston Town Center) on Friday October 24 from  4:00-7;00 pm and again on Race Day morning at the Pavilion starting at 7:30 am. 

Kids’ activities:

• The 5K will be followed by a Kids’ Dash in Reston Town Center at 9:30 a.m.

• FREE family art activities sponsored by GRACE at the Pavilion.

• Kids’ Trick-or-Treating event at Reston Town Center merchants begins at 11am!
