Ghost, Goblins, & Ghouls Spooktacular 5K & Scarecrow Sprint

With Halloween in the air, the 5th running of the Ghost, Goblins & Ghouls Spooktacular 5k and Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run will take place at its NEW location, The Barn @ ONE Loudoun on Saturday, October 25, 4:00 pm start time. The event will center on the spooktacular theme of Halloween and incorporate a costume contest, Halloween themed activities, trick or treating and MORE!!

Fees for the 5k:

$30 through September 30

$35 October 1-October 23

$20 for ages 18 & Under (at all times)

$40 at packet pick up & race day (October 24 & 25)

Fees for the Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run:

$10 through October 23

$12 at packet pick up & race day (October 24 & 25)

On-line Registration will close on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 8:00PM

Runners are encouraged to run in costume and enter the costume contest!  

The 5^th annual Ghost 5k will encourage kids to get moving and shine a spotlight on healthy activities, while raising funds for Kids Run the Nation, a non-profit concentrating on the importance of healthy living, good eating habits, and exercise for children through the sport of running.  

Make it more fun with a Team Challenge!

Form a team to represent a family, company or a group of friends and compete against other teams! The first member of the Team will "create a new" team, then other members will be able to pick the team name from the drop down menu. In order to be eligible for a team award; teams must consist of at least 4 members and with at least 1 male and 1 female. The top 4 times will be combined to determine the team's time. Top 2 overall teams will win an award. Add to the FUN and DRESS UP in a team theme costume and enter the costume contest! 

The 5k course (3.1 miles) will start and finish at The Barn @ One Loudoun, 20451 Savin Hill Dr, Ashburn, VA and take you through the neighborhood streets of One Loudoun. 5K course will be open for 60 min. 

The Scarescrow Sprint Fun Run is recommended for kids 8 and under Kids will be divided into running heats according to their age. For example: 2 yrs old & under with parents, 3 & 4 yr olds parents optional, 5 & 6 yr olds, and 7 & 8 yr olds. Distance for each age group heat will be longer as kids grow older, distance from approximately 25 yards to 400 yards. Each participant will receive a finisher’s keepsake upon crossing the finish line. Limited to 150 kids!

Friday, October 24 – 4 PM – 7 PM

Saturday, October 25 – 2 PM – 3:55 PM – Please plan to arrive early and enjoy pre-race activities of music and fun. 

 Awards for the 5k will be given to the overall male and overall female, second place overall male and second place overall female and to the top two male and female finishers in the following age groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9–10, 11–12, 13– 14, 15-18, 19–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+
