Register for the 2011 ATMUF 5K

The Anything That Moves You Forward 5K is an event presented by the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA) – Northern District – in celebration of Physical therapy Month. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). DATE: Sunday October 2, 2011 TIME: 8 am Location: The event will be held in Vienna, VA starting at the historic Vienna caboose and train station at the corner of Ayes Hill and Mill Street. The 5K will use the W& OD Trail from this location to Clarke’s Crossing and back. Event description: A 5K (3.1) mile race/walk accurately times with the IPIC chip timing system by Potomac River Running. Walkers will be encouraged to start behind the runners. Participants: Runners, wheelchair racers, walkers. Awards: Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers, the top male and female wheelchair finishers, and the top male and female finishers in 10 year age groups 19 and under, up to 70 and over. T-Shirts: All participants will be given an event T-shirt – long sleeved with race logo, date and time on the front; logos of VPTA, PFNCA and sponsors on the back. I know that running can be a hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running, including, but not limited to, falls, weather conditions including high heat and/or humidity, contact with other participants, the effects of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Potomac River Running, Inc., Potomac River Running Charitable and Educational Events Inc., Commonwealth Race Management, Inc., the Virginia Physical Therapy Association, the Town of Vienna, Fairfax County, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority and the Washington and Old Dominion trail managers, and all event partners, sponsors and volunteers, their representatives and successors from all claims or liability of any kind arising out of my participation in this race even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, or other record of this event for any legitimate purpose without compensation to me. For safety reasons, I agree not to officiate with any of the following: Wheelchairs, strollers, baby joggers, skates, pets or headsets. I understand that there are no refunds should severe weather cancel the event.
