Calling all kids! Run Run as fast as you can and CATCH the Gingerbread man! Join us on the Friday after Thanksgiving (November 25) for the Gingerbread Man Mile (Run for Kids!). The event kicks off a festive day at the Reston Town Center which includes a Holiday Parade. Registration is free for kids, although a donation to Neediest Kids is appreciated. The first 500 registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Packet pick up and late registration will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at Potomac River Running, Reston Town Center from 3-7 p.m. Runners may also pick up their packet on race day, Friday, November 25 beginning at 7 a.m at the fountain on Market Street All races start and finish on Market Street, near the fountain at Reston Town Center. Race schedule: 8:00 a.m.- 6-7 year olds (1 mile) 8:15 a.m.- 8-9 year olds (1 mile) 8:30 a.m.- 10-11 year olds (1 mile) 8:45 a.m.- 12-14 year olds (1 mile) 9:00 a.m.- High School Division (1 mile) 9:10 a.m.- 4-5 year olds (one loop, approx .4 mile) 9:20 a.m.- Tot Trot (2 blocks) 11:00 a.m.- Holiday Parade Following the final race, awards will be presented to the top three girls and boys finishers in each race (all tot trot finishers will receive a ribbon). Everyone is invited to the Holiday Parade beginning at 11 a.m.
