Fees

5K - Early online registration - $25 thru end of February, $30 thru May 2nd. Registration closes May 2nd at 9 p.m. Race day registration - $35. Fun Run - $10 thru May 2nd. Race day registration is $15.

Course Description

The race will follow a hilly out-and-back course that takes runners through the AOL campus in Dulles, VA.

Packet Pick up/Registration

PLEASE REGISTER AT WWW.PRRACES.COM. Pick up your technical t-shirt, bib and timing tag on Saturday, May 3rd from 11:00 - 2:00 at the Potomac River Running Ashburn store. Race day May 4th from 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at the AOL campus registration area. New registration location (near the start line) at 22000 AOL Way, Dulles, VA. Parking available on site. Online registration closes on May 2nd at 9 p.m. Fees increase on race day.

Prizes

Cash prizes for the top 3 finishers for each gender. Age group awards will also be given.

Fun Run

The fun walk/run will begin at the 5K start line immediately following the 5K. All participants will receive a t-shirt at packet pick-up.

Timing

The race will be timed using the Ipico timing system. Tag placement directions will be available with your registration packet.

Results

Overall results will be posted following the race. Prizes will be awarded based on gun time. Online results will be available after 12 p.m. following the race. Results will be posted on www.potomariverrunning.com

Charity & Donations

All proceeds will go to the Loudoun Youth Inc. Loudoun Youth, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to coordinate community resources to assist in the development of youth programs and to create leadership opportunities for young people. We support and develop programs that provide Loudoun teens positive out-of-school activities in safe, nurturing environments and help teens become confident and contributing members of the community. www.loudounyourth.org

Volunteers

If you would like to volunteer to help support this event, contact Marcie Patchett at Marcie.Patchett@teamaol.com. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. Needed: Race day registration/packet pick-up, Course Marshalls, water stops, food distribution, mile timers etc.

Event Parking

Race day parking will be across the street. Follow the signage for parking.

Other Information

No dogs allowed on the course. Strollers are welcome.  We do ask that you line up toward the back of the start line. There will be a Family Fun area open from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. This will feature games and activities for children. One water stop will be located after mile marker 2 upon entrance to the AOL campus. There is not a timed cutoff for this event. Take your time. Enjoy the race!

Additional Information

Directions: The AOL Campus is located near the Dulles Wegman's on the opposite side of Waxpool. Directions from Washington- (From 66 or 495 Beltway) Take 267 Dulles Toll Road West Take the Route 28 exit North toward Sterling. Follow Route 28 North for approximately 3 miles. Follow signs marked To Pacific Blvd South Take right hand exit marked 625 West (Waxpool Road to Pacific Blvd South) Once on Waxpool Road immediately get in the far left lane. After going under the overpass, veer into the left exit. (It is an access road) At the first traffic light go left onto Pacific Blvd. Go to the first stop sign and go right on to Prentice. Take the first right into Creative Center 2 (CC2).

I know that running can be a hazardous activity and that I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running, including, but not limited to, falls, weather conditions including high heat and/or humidity, contact with other participants, the effects of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Potomac River Running, Inc., Potomac River Running Charitable and Educational Events Inc., Commonwealth Race Management, Inc., and all event partners, sponsors and volunteers, their representatives and successors from all claims or liability of any kind arising out of my participation in this race even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. Further, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, or other record of this event for any legitimate purpose without compensation to me. For safety reasons, I agree not to officiate with any of the following: Wheelchairs, strollers, baby joggers, skates, pets or headsets. I understand that there are no refunds should severe weather cancel the event. I further understand that this event may change date or location if required by local authorities. I agree that my email address will be added to the Potomac River Running and Commonwealth Race Management email list.
