ATA 5k Run/Walk

The American Telugu Association-DC Chapter is hosting the 1^st 5k Run/Walk on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Fairfax Corner Center. Proceeds from the event will go to support the ATA Emergency Fund (http://www.ataworld.org/) and Mathrubhumi Charitable Trust, helping orphan kids in Warangal, India (http://mbct-nspt.org/). There will be race awards for different age groups and each participant will receive a free T-shirt and post-race water and snacks.

Registration: 5k for Adults is $25, for Children $10 on-line registration (closes on May 23 at 8:00 pm), then $30 and $15 on race day

There is plenty of free parking in and around the Fairfax Corner Center. The start/finish line is next to the center plaza.

The primary purpose of the American Telugu Association (ATA) is to assist and promote literacy, cultural, educational, social, economic, health, charity and community activities of the people of Telugu origin as well as to promote exchange programs for students, scientists and professionals of Telugu origin between the United States of America, Canada and India and other countries.
