Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Fairfax Corner, 8:00 am

The 2014 Run! Geek! Run! 5k  is a family-fun, themed race that starts and finishes at Fairfax Corner in Fairfax, VA. Runners will bring out their inner geeks with our souvenir geek glasses and the coveted bobblehead award for the age group winners.

Registration Fees: $30 until July 24, $35 until August 23, and $40 for race day registration.

Packet pick up: Friday, August 22, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 23, 12:00-5:00 pm at The Potomac River Running Store at Fairfax Corner,
11895 Grand Commons Ave, Fairfax, VA 22030 and then Sunday August 24 from 6:30-8:00 at the race site. 
 

 

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers; top three Masters male and female finishers as well as the top three finishers in the following age groups; 19 & U, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60 & Over. The top three corporate teams will also receive awards. Stick around after the award ceremony for a trivia contest – exciting prizes will be handed out to winners!

All registrants will receive a commemorative tech t-shirt AND a pair of Geek Glasses!

Race proceeds go to support the Equal Footing Foundation, a Virginia-based non-profit focused on youth development and education. The Foundation’s goal is to provide an equal opportunity environment where youth can access the tools needed to successfully compete in a skilled and educated workforce. To achieve this, Equal Footing Foundation funds, launches and sustains Computer Clubhouses in partnership with local governments, businesses and other non-profit entities.
