9th Annual Stone Ridge 5k Race for Education!!

 

Saturday, October 18, 2014 

 

Join us in Stone Ridge for the 9th Annual Stone Ridge 5k Race for Education. The start/finish line area is set up behind the Stone Ridge Village Shopping Center (42020 Village Center Plaza, Stone Ridge, Virginia 20105. 

 

Registration:

 

5k registration: $25 until October 5, $30 through October 17, $35 on race day.  

 

Fun Run/Walk registration: $15 through October 5, $20 through race day.

 

On line registration will close on Wednesday, October 15 at 8 P.M. 

 

In person registration will be held on Thursday, October 16, and Friday, October 17 from 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm, at the Stone Ridge Club House at 24609 Nettle Mill Square, Aldie, VA.

 

Race Day Registration will be held 7:00-8:85 am in the Stone Ridge Village Shopping Center Commuter Parking Lot.

 

Packet Pick Up will be on Thursday October 16 and Friday October 17 from 3:30-7:30 pm at the Stone Ridge Club House.

 

Race Day Packet Pick up is from 7:00-8:45 am in the Stone Ridge Village Shopping Center Commuter Parking Lot.

 

Race Day Information:

 

7:00 am – Registration and Packet Pick up open

 

9:00 am – 5k Race Starts

 

9:05 am - 1k Fun Run/Walk Starts

Awards:

 

Top 3 male & female overall 5k finishers and top 3 male & female 5k finishers in the following age groups will receive awards: 7 & Under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.

This fundraiser is in it's 9th year. Race proceeds are distributed to the schools based on their percentage of participation in the 5k and fun run. Schools must meet volunteer requirements to be eligible to receive race proceeds. The money raised goes towards athletic and academic enrichment for public school students of Dulles South Public Schools. This event is run entirely by volunteers - they make it happen.
